Terms and conditions

Our terms and conditions

Welcome to Korean Cars Melbourne (“KCM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

We’re a community for owners and enthusiasts of Korean-built cars — Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, and beyond — who enjoy connecting through meets, drives, and photography.

By using our website, signing up as a member, or attending our events, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

They’re here to keep things clear, safe, and fair for everyone.

Who we are

KCM is a casual, community-run group based in Melbourne, Australia.

We’re not a formal business or incorporated association — just a group of volunteers who coordinate meets and events for like-minded enthusiasts.

Our website, www.koreancarsmelbourne.com.au, is hosted on Wix, which securely manages our online forms and data in line with our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about these terms, email info@koreancarsmelbourne.com.au.

Website use

Our website exists to share community news, event details, photography, and information about our sponsors.

You agree to use it respectfully and lawfully. This means:

  • Don’t misuse or try to damage the site, its data, or security.

  • Don’t copy or redistribute our content without permission.

  • Don’t impersonate anyone or submit false information when registering.

We may update or remove content at any time without notice.

Copyright and content ownership

All material on this site — including photos, videos, graphics, text, and design — is owned by Korean Cars Melbourne unless otherwise credited. You may share our content on social media only if it’s credited and not altered.

You must not reuse or reproduce our material for commercial purposes without written permission. â€‹Member-submitted photos, reels, or quotes may appear on our website or socials.

By submitting or tagging KCM in content, you grant us permission to use, repost, or feature that material (with credit) as part of our community storytelling.

Event participation

Our meets and drive days are designed to be inclusive, safe, and community-minded.

To take part, you must:

  • Register through our website or official event page.

  • Comply with all Victorian road laws and venue rules at all times.

  • Drive safely, courteously, and within speed limits.

  • Respect fellow members, event hosts, and the public.

  • Avoid any antisocial, dangerous, or illegal behaviour (including hooning, burnouts, trespass, or damage to property).

Some events are held in private or paid venues (e.g. parking garages). Any entry or parking fees are payable by attendees directly to those venues.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Attendance at any Korean Cars Melbourne event is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

By attending, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for your own vehicle, actions, and personal safety.

  • KCM and its co-founders are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, or other harm that may occur before, during, or after an event.

  • KCM is not responsible for accidents, fines, or incidents that occur on public roads or within private venues.

We take reasonable care in planning events but cannot guarantee conditions, safety, or conduct of attendees. Always drive and participate responsibly.

Photos, videos, and media

We regularly capture photos and video at our meets and drives to share the story of our community. These may include identifiable features such as vehicles, number plates, or attendees.

By attending a KCM event, you consent to this photography and acknowledge that images or footage may appear on our website, Instagram, or other platforms.

If you’d like a photo removed or blurred, email info@koreancarsmelbourne.com.au and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Code of conduct

We’re here for genuine community — not competition or conflict.

When engaging with KCM online or in person, you agree to:

  • Be respectful and inclusive.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or hate speech.

  • Follow directions from the KCM co-founders during events.

  • Keep communication constructive and friendly.

  • Represent the KDM community positively.

We reserve the right to remove comments, revoke membership, or ask someone to leave an event if behaviour breaches this code.

Sponsors, promotions, and discounts

We partner with select sponsors who share our values. Any discounts, offers, or promotions mentioned on our website or socials are provided by those sponsors, not by KCM.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure sponsor information is accurate, but we don’t guarantee the availability, value, or outcome of any offer. Please confirm details directly with the sponsor before making a purchase or booking.

Links to other sites

Our website may include links to third-party websites (sponsors, suppliers, or social media). KCM is not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Changes and updates

We may update these terms occasionally to reflect new practices, events, or partnerships. Updates will be published on our website with a new “last updated” date. Continued participation in KCM activities means you accept any revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
